Just booted into mainline. Still no volume mounted on the desktop, but on
insertion of the SD card, I do see the following in both syslog and kern.log:

cataloged_times.p had just binary data and values looked more like a
README
Sorry for not replying for so long (it seems nobody was caring for cacti
in Ubuntu).
The problem looks like a inifinite loop. To debug further it would be
good if we had the cacti logs that can be found in /var/log/cacti. I
don't assume you still have them from around the time of the crash.

I have exactly the same problem on XUbuntu 12.04:
- OS: XUbuntu 12.04, all updates are installed
- boot from USB drive (real installation, no live system); memory is o.k.: 8 GB
flash drive; 3,5 GB free space
- computer: IBM T43, standard equipped, no special features; runs fine on
Ubuntu 10.04
I got the same problem on an Ubuntu 12.04 64bit installation. Running
the fresh installation of libreoffice I was not able to see any menu
entry (neither settings nor menus), after purge and reinstall the LO
installation, I'm able to see some entries but the UI is still unusable.
I did try using
@Wei En, it's an Pentium Dual-Core P6100 processor, Arrandale
architecture. So yes, it's before Sandy Bridge.

And I just read Dave's reply that this would be just fine, indeed.
If it is not the order of lines, then my hunch is that it is the size of the
buffer that I had increased, which may create larger (too large) files for the
client to read.
I will split that patch in two halves - buffer and
On a freshly installed system I tried installing fglrx-updates and got a
instalation failed message in jockey, but the drivers regardless seem
to be working alright. Don't know if this is the same issue or not, but
it would be nice to be fixed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #991417, so is being marked as such.
In my new debian/wheezy installation, after installing citadel-server,
it runs as user root, while 7.x in debian/squeeze runs as citadel
(one of the processes also as root).
Now, I checked the postinst script in 8.05:
chown -R citadel:citadel /var/lib/citadel
is the culprit.
Either citadel is
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
