When I had this kind of bug I found mine was a KMS problem in the
kernel. And I found it was fixed in kernel 3.1 and later (hence fixed in
Ubuntu 12.04 and later). See bug 865097.

The crash itself seems to point at a broken task structures tree while
scheduling during a pipe read. Though this is rather cause not reason. Right
now, nothing obvious strikes. There were a few Xen related patches waiting to
come in through stable but I am not sure those would help here.

I think what you describe here is a feature of Unity rather than a bug,
a pretty annoying feature I must admit.
You should be able to turn it off in the CompizConfig Settings Manager.
There you can set the "Edge Stop Velocity" under the "Experimental" tab
of the Unity Plugin.

I have the same symptoms. Unlike Alexandros, unity --replace or compiz
--replace does not fix the problem. Unity runs fine in another account.
Unity 5.12 did not fix this for me.

Thank you for your bug report, no that's not a bug, before it was
impossible to get the context menu in list view, now if you click on the
text part of the row you will get the context menu for the item, if you
click on an empty background part you will get the folder context menu

In my case, the problem was fixed after I logged out then logged in as
root to delete all the hidden folders+files in my user's home folder
(except for several specific folders+files). I do this cleanup every few
years, and it always seems to fix a few bugs (my home folder has its own

I tried using ipptool command to launch some test.
The output was an error of ipp version:
v1.0 received v1.1 expected.
It seems the livebox only use v1.0 protocol.
