window after reading or writing HDD operations. When HDD reads/writes,
any other processes can't access disk in this moment and 10-20 minutes
after this moment. So, any disk operation takes very much time.

although when ever I log off, before I can start the computer again, I
have to run the recovery option. Once that's done I can start 11.10 and
away I go. It works so

FWIW, I can confirm that the problem has to do with the iwlwifi driver.
I opened up my laptop and replaced the Intel 5100 WiFi adapter with a
card having an Atheros chipset and all the above problems have vanished.
Things are working as expected, even after numerous suspend and resume
cycles.

I see elsewhere noted that this does not occur on 3.2.0-16 but does on
3.2.0-24, a logical test would be to try the interviening kernels and
confirm where this was introduced.

python-qt4 applications crash since 4.9-2ubuntu2
To manage
I would like to know if somebody has found a solution to this or at
least if the problem is with gnome-panel or the compiz plugin. Disabling
the plugin is not possible to me since I really need it, I'm using it
to place some applications in place along a dual monitor after login.
