I solved the problem really simply.
The fact is that evince is so concieved that it keeps an history of recently
used files.
However, if the files are not available anymore, because for example they are
located on a share, on a remote machine, evince tries - it takes generally
minutes - to

nm-applet can't detect wireless cards power separately

Log out from both Guest and 'normal' user gets stuck on some text-mode (white
on black) screen.
Nothing conscious appears on this screen.
Happens all the time.
I was able to connect via ssh and grab 'dmesg' in hope it will spill some light
- attached.

Completely getting rid of .mozilla and starting over that way fixed it

I even tried re-installing, the Extensions tab in Add-ons manager is
always empty. I even tried removing the profile directory to start all
over, to no avail. This happened a few versions ago for
signon:
* Some of the headers in /usr/include/signon-plugins/ are installed in the
signon-plugins-dev package, the ones that aren't shouldn't really be installed
at all.
* I'll work on making the tests work in pbuilder, drop gcc-4.6 and use
debhelper 9
