I was getting these Xorg crashes after an upgrade yesterday. It also caused
some connectivity/network issues. The network issues seemed to revolve around
my vpnc being active (not sure if that was upgraded yesterday too), but after
reconfiguring the VPN, all is fine. No more Xorg crashes.
For what it's worth I found the solution, in the dconf-editor (part of
the dconf-tools package) I found com -- canonical -- indicator --
sound where I can uncheck show-notifyosd-on-scroll.

I think this test needs re-wording. Clicking the launcher shouldn't

I think this broken dependency problem happened because I accidentally
shut down before the update completed.
After trying to install with the UI tool failed, it suggested running this
command:
sudo apt-get install -f
This results in this error output:
dpkg: error

qemu-system-x86_64 crashed with SIGSEGV in virtio_pci_mask_vq()
I just linked an upstream kernel bug about the same exact receiver not
working in a USB 3.0 port, but it does work in a USB 2.0 port. This
looks like the same exact issue that you're having.

Since there were too many people complaining about this (harmless) message
which is only shown on GTK2 applications, the new PK module package available
in Debian Wheezy or Ubuntu Quantal provides a GTK2 dummy module, which just
does nothing.
