Bug 1030357 is about a related upstream issue, in the same source file. I've collected upstream's recent fixes to cairo-cff-subset.c, including the one linked above, into one patch. It's attached to bug 1030357, and queued for review. When it goes through, this bug will be fixed, too. [Bug 1046851] Re: juju-origin: lp:juju fails to install dependencies
Thomas, thanks for reporting the bug! Indeed, it looks like the local provider, which does its own origin setup through a script, fails to note all of the deps for juju: apt-get install $APT_OPTIONS python-txzookeeper python- setuptools There is a refactor in progress around using the cloud images and cloud- init in the same way as the other providers function, so that will likely solve this, though we may want to put out a less intrusive fix for 0.5 which just adds the necessary components. ** Changed in: juju (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Tags added: local -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046851 Title: juju-origin: lp:juju fails to install dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/juju/+bug/1046851/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

installed the new nvidia driver release. [Bug 1047919] [NEW] Freeze or crash occurs when calling Gst::PlayBin2::create()
Public bug reported: Using Linux Mint Maya 64-bit (based on Ubuntu 12.04) and libgstreamermm-0.10-2 version 0.10.9-1, a call to Gst::PlayBin2::create() causes the application to freeze or crash. A glib error message in free() or realloc() is usually printed. Minimal example: #include gstreamermm.h int main() { Gst::init(); Gst::PlayBin2::create(); } $ g++ -g main.cpp `pkg-config gstreamermm-0.10 --libs` `pkg-config --cflags gstreamermm-0.10` $ ./a.out *** glibc detected *** ./a.out: free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x02198c00 *** ^C $ Attached is the valgrind output for the minimal example and two backtraces from when the application actually crashed instead of simply freezing (from an actual application that uses gstreamermm). When running the application with valgrind, the same invalid write as in the minimal example happens, however the track actually plays for a fraction of a second. After hitting pause/continue a few dozen times, all following tracks seem to play properly. Without valgrind, the application freezes or crashes without exception. ** Affects: gstreamermm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1047919 Title: Freeze or crash occurs when calling Gst::PlayBin2::create() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamermm/+bug/1047919/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1047921] [NEW] GDebi loses globalmenu integration directly after password prompt.
Public bug reported: I installed the Phoronix Test Suite via the GDebi pacakg installer, but after it got my password, the toolbar went to the down to the window, rather than the top panel as most apps do (and they fade in when hovered over and the close min max buttons are there). [Bug 1018621] Re: Language for menus and windows is not saved if .profile is missing
Gunnar, I've this bug affects me too. It took a long time to actually track down this bug as being the cause of the problem. Given that there are very few items in /etc/skel (.profile, .bash_logout, .bashrc); .profile makes the most sense as a decent test since many people change default shell and there's no guarantee on .bashrc/.bash_logout existing. That said, I would think that users would benefit from simply changing the error message here. [Bug 1047908] Re: CONFIG_CIFS_ACL is missing in 12.04 LTS kernel (-generic)
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected running-unity staging ** Description changed: grep CONFIG_CIFS_ACL /boot/config-3.2.0-29-generic # CONFIG_CIFS_ACL is not set I have just looked up the 12.10 kernels and there this option is set. As we have numerous LTS workstations for developers and are reworking our infrastructure we need cifs capable of ACLs. Of course we could compile our own kernel, but since this is an LTS release I have the feeling this is not the real option here. What option - using apt and staying LTS - do people have to get one of those core features in their kernel?
