After talking to cjwatson on irc, there is another option. update-grub
is failing because /dev/disk/ is not set up in the container. So we
could add an upstart job which runs only in containers, and manually

I have the same problems since 2012-10-03 on my server. My machine was
upgraded from 10.04 and worked fine, until yesterday. It began with
problems with autofs. And then is saw these problems with nis. My
version of ypbind is already 0.2.0-7ubuntu1.1. The effects are the same
as in Alex's

I was about to confirm this first, but then I realized I had already
tried out the privacy function for filtering out remote results.
Switching it back on brought back the results as well.

Hmm, worth investigating more, now noticed it was about tracks on
computer - I have only two directly on this computer and they're being
shown.
