Same symptom now on ordinary login with the laptop out of docking. So it is the
driver, in combination with something else.
Tried to remove all compiz settings and cache, no sweat. Now at Witt's End.

about the updater icon, i hope it is not final.. i would like to have it
icon dynamically ..ie.. colorless when no updates are needed, green
color plus badge count .. I feel it does not need 'A' and i suggest
'screen with the package' icon inside the update circle, it means it
look as a software

the current default installation wherein network-manager starts
an instance of dnsmasq to act as a DHCP, DNS and TFTP server.
NetworkManager starts an instance of dnsmasq to act only as a non-
caching DNS nameserver forwarder. This instance listens only on the
loopback interface 127.0.1.1.

stack, I think switching to dh9 will bring that, can you ensure it's the
case?

This is the direct consequence for fixing floppies in the first place
(bug 441835). We have absolutely no way of poking the floppy controller
whether there is actually a floppy behind it, as this causes hard
freezes of about 20 seconds if there is none. Thus, we can either skip
floppies entirely
Almost same problem started on my system (ubuntu 12.04) about two weeks
ago, hovever i think no mousepress is registred, only the
mousepressrelease. Making it impossible to drag windows or levers...
