intel xorg tearfree option and have kwins vsync disabled, which works
but has poor performance and higher power draw. This is a really big
usability issue that makes kwin rather unusable on intel graphics!

However I discovered that resizing lxterm always results in the same

I ran into the same problem today; the trackpoint and the related keys
for left, middle and right click between keyboard and touchpad were not
working anymore after a cold boot on my Thinkpad X230 running Kernel
3.5.0-26-generic on Ubuntu 12.10-amd64.

* The zoom control has now an entry that always shows the current zoom
factor and allows to enter custom zoom factors in addition to the
predefined ones.
