Sometimes when I open an image or I change of image in Gthumb, it crashes . The
error in console is:

some extra testing before upload so I've put it in the desktop team ppa:

Hey Steve, Ccing you since you know freetype better than me, do you have
an opinion on those symbols being dropped?
Do you think it's likely to be an issue at all? It seems to work fine
from my local testing and most of those symbols were not exposed in the
public .h files
