configuration problem, but rather an endemic problem with mythbuntu.

Nope, you have to hide both from kernel. It's just, that listing 04:00.1 in
config file is causing error. At least with xm stack.

I would create a new user and see if that one has sound. If it does, try
resetting the pulseaudio user configuration (after logging in to your original

Sorry for delayed answer. I was at vacation.
Nautilus tries to launch vlc with the following command line:
vlc cdda://sr0/Track%203.wav
(In this example I tried to launch Track 3 from nautilus).
But it starts playing from the first track.
