Is it true that the fix implemented here was to disable frequency
scaling? I agree that this can be considered a workaround, but to claim
that the problem is solved is a bit far. Users expect CPU power
management to function on a modern system. Disabling it as a long-term

I was able to confirm the lockups happening also on an AMD/ATI laptop.
However, I get much more lockups on the Intel.

Well last I checked, even mainline v3.9.x one needs to explicitly
cpufreq on the omap4460 to even boot to console prompt. Haven't
personally tried v3.10/v3.11/v3.12 as i've been busy with other projects

Changed my settings under power in system settings, now the computer did
actually suspend but still, the message should not be there IMHO after
resume from suspend.
A simple notification saying the computer did suspend previously would
be sufficient (or nothing at all as before 13.10).

It is also solved in more recent version of netstat / net-tools, for
example the git version. See below.
So why not upgrade to a more recent net-tools in Ubuntu? Can the
maintainers take care of that?

Hello,
I had the same problem on a T500 machine.
A Lenovo BIOS update solved the problem for me.
I started to play around with the sleep settings while connect to power,
battery, and closing the lid and as a workaround a logout before sending
it to sleep also works without a BIOS update.
