configuration of the ASUS Z87-K mainboard
legacy USB support: enabled

Sorry, to be more Precise :) I did in fact install Precise on this
laptop. (2012-06-12) but I don't remember having this problem.
I had both a desktop and a laptop at that time, and I was using the
desktop tower more often than the laptop. I upgraded to Quantal and
began using the laptop more
Works now for me under Lubuntu 13.10 with PCManFM 1.1.2-0.

Here the mouse will click once on its own, not twice. Though if they
piggyback on a click they turn that into a double click. In that the
system was unusable for any purpose beyond testing the bug. In this,
