another package. If it doesn't dpkg has to assume that this is done by
mistake and bails out.
Just because the filename is the same doesn't meant it has a compatible
content. If it isn't compatible it will break software on way
sudo pip install --upgrade virtualenv

An easy fix would be to encode mentions as links in the protocols. However,
that way they would open the web profile of the specific person.
Another -- proper -- solution would be to expose the mentions a property of the

I've installed the nvidia-319, nvidia-settings-319, nvidia-primus on a
ubuntu 13.10 (unity) and had the [xrandr]: gnome-settings-daemon
crashed with signal 5 in _XReply() when i logged in, so I ran sudo

Yes it occurred in the previous version and yes, I have tried about a
dozen other kernels.
I would rather do some triage to actully identify the issue instead of
getting in an endless loop of trying different kernels in the hope that
some unrelated patch will have an affect.
