problematic on armhf - the general upstream advice was 'don't strip - it
breaks stuff' so we disabled it.

I replace the line start on runlevel [2345] in /etc/init/tftpd-
hpa.conf with start on (filesystem and net-device-up IFACE!=lo) and
now it starts on boot.
I'm not sure why but I didn't have this problem with Ubuntu

You currently can't use XMir on a Southern Islands Radeon GPU (which is
almost, but not quite, the same as a Radeon HD7xxx+)
A work-around is to uninstalling the xserver-xorg-xmir package.

Just update mako to #37 (and also when I updated to #36) the wifi was
disabled on first boot. It works after flipping the wifi switch in the
network indicator, but by default it's off (it should be on IMO).

This is a simple conflict between the shimmer-themes package and a
PPA/package you're using that also contains a separate package for the
Orion gtk theme.
Uninstalling the conflicting package for Orion will resolve the issue
(that is not a bug in the package shimmer-themes).
