It doesn't matter whether or not this is caused by having done anything
manually with grub before.
If you have a system that works 100% fine, you run dist-upgrade and you get a
broken system that won't even boot, there's a bug, be it in grub or in
dist-upgrade.
At the very least, dist-upgrade
@169 I'm trying your method but I get error: no such partition at the
last step (no errors at the second step).
I guess it's because: (sometimes only after using the full path and file name
instead of /vmlinuz and /initrd.img)
How I figure out the full paths?

You can try to remove/check these two files in ~/.config/autostart/
light-locker.desktop and screensaver-settings.desktop.
All settings for the screensaver and light-locker are in these two
files.
