Hi, I have the same problem now (2014 07).
I tried to patch /usr/src/dahdi-2.5.0.1+dfsg-1ubuntu3/ like in post #8, but
patch fails not finding the file to patch.
I also trie to modify xbus-sysfs.c y hand following the patch changes, and then
it compiles but it fails to load, complaining like:
This is still a confirmed issue for us on 13.04 and 14.04. Debian has a
fix merged already for multiple months and the workaround is not very
good for those who need to package their applications and cannot update
virtualenv using pip or mess with /usr/lib/python. Is it possible we can

Sorry, I read the build log incorrectly in comment #3. krb5 in utopic
amd64 was actually compiled against gcc-4.8 4.8.3-4ubuntu2. So the
belief may still be valid.
(I was misled because the metapackage gcc 4:4.9.0-3ubuntu5 actually
installed a symlink to gcc-4.8, despite the version number.)
