Kubuntu 14.04.1, all updated. Using fglrx-updates (the same version as fglrx
now), AMD Radeon Redwood 5570. Installed it via Driver manager in settings.
Mouse pointer is corrupting many times per day, on the second screen it looks
normal, but on first is corrupted. And
I'm sorry for the lag. We had some issues with fwts that were traced
back to using the wrong version. +1 from the cert team

I had the same problem with an Asus Z97-Pro motherboard running 14.04 with
Gnome.
As instructed, I added the line options snd-hda-intel vid=8086 pid=8ca0
snoop=0
to the bottom of the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and the sound
problem went away.
