I tried booting both rc1 and rc2. Testing is inconclusive because I could not
proceed beyond the login screen. I did test suspend from the login screen but

Having the same issue here on Lenovo T420s with Xubuntu 14.10.
After closing the lid or sleep upon resume the lock screen is displayed as
intended.
After having entered the password the screen blanks and stays that way.
Binding xrandr --auto to a shortcut works but is an ugly workaround.

yeah, it's an issue that affects any clickpad, and it's caused by
synaptics still primarily handling touchpads as single-touch devices. a
few additions allowed for some MT stuff, but the driver needs
significant changes to be true multitouch capable - and that's out of

I have this problem also. I am using konsole version 2.13.2 on KDE
version 4.13.3 ( Ubuntu version 14.04). Regarding the comment in #6:

I think I may be 'missing' /bin/udevadm ?

I know someone who "solved" this issue by installing a Nvidia driver.
Do you test your Nouveau driver on MSI computers and computers with Nvidia
graphics card before rolling out new releases?
This is not the first time I'm experiencing a significant flaw with this driver.

To resolve the either-or above, I built ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 from source
in a Precise machine (where the packaged version does not have the bug)
and it crashes there, too.
So it seems the bug is in ImageMagick itself and it was introduced
between versions 6.6.9 (in Precise) and 6.7.7 (in Trusty).
Please report any problems you have with roger there.

ffgtk has been superseded by roger-router, it has been removed from
Debian and will no longer receive any updates. As the Debian maintainer
of ffgtk and roger-router, I have uploaded a copy of roger to my stable
PPA that you can safely use in trusty and utopic. Please install the
transitional ffg
Remember when using the workaround in post #14 to change "amd64" to
"i386" if you are using a 32-bit installation...did this and dependency
fixed (running an old P4 system!).

It has just run without errors.

I unable to use for text selection and in
Firefox, in the following sessions:

All these shortcuts work as expected in Unity.

An afterthought, much my trouble was caused because hugin did override a
valid TMPDIR enviroment variable even though I did not enter any value
for the tempdir in hugin GUI preferences..
Did not test if this still happens with newest hugin.

Hi to all,
I've the same problem with Lenovo ThinkPad S540.
I can suspend correctly (the power light flashes and all turn off), but
when I resume, the desktop appears "cloudy" and the laptop freeze.
Have you any news?
