I found this issue has something to do with the Enable Switchable Graphics
option in the BIOS
If Enabled, it will make another graphical controller (Intel) available.
And this issue would happen.
If disabled, there will be only one nVidia video there, and this won't

I've found that some extensions also cause problems with this. Two that
I've found so far are:
- ImportExportTools (seems to do lots of concurrent IMAP operations with Tbird,
often resulting in Operation in progress messages)
- Send Without Save(Copy Sent to Current has equivalent functionality
The fix was already in the upstream, but the fix depends on the pin
quirk framework, it is hard to backport to linux-3.13.

You seem to have installed the cinnamon package on Ubuntu 13.10.
Unfortunately, that package is not available yet for 14.04. To upgrade

Reinstallation of Nvidia driver helps.
For first, remove Nvidia drivers after kernel patching, after that reboot a
system.
Secondly, install it again.
It's working well right now.
