I don't think it is a problem with the locker itself though, to me it
looks like it's just a trigger for an issue in xfce4-volumed or
something related to its interaction

1. Uninstall light-locker
2. Install xcreensaver
3. Reboot
Agreed, it seems to be working fine now, so might be something related
either to light-locker or how it interacts with xfsettingsd.

Okay, I found a great workaround for me:
1. I made sure I removed light-locker, gnome-screensaver, xscreensaver,
kscreensaver, etc..
2. installed xscreensaver
3. reboot
Standby/resume and screen unlocking now works perfectly. While xmodmap
is still broken, I don't care about that.

Super+Control+Left works fine, but Right causes no keypress events. All

Upstream says Support for Gtk-3.14 is fixed in Gramps-4.1.2
Should vivid use the new version 4.1.2? It sounds like they fixe a lot
of other bugs too.
(Alternatively, just the launcher can be fixed to set env variable
G_ENABLE_DIAGNOSTIC=0 to supporess most of the warnings)

Emilien, the 30% red is handled separately in bug #1388235. That ticket
doesn't doesn't directly address mpt's discussion of coloring by
percentage on phone but by time on desktop, but it may ameliorate the
worst examples of this bug by improving the icons' granularity.
