is games with permissions -rw-rwSr--. My user is in user group gamer but
not games, so the S didn't apply to me. Adding me to group games solved

notification backlog in the messaging indicator anyway. IMHO the
notification handling should simply be bound to this privacy setting (it

The wizard UI imply that GPS is less accurate, which is simply
misleading if the user has no knowledge on GPS fix. Even the user know
about GPS fix, there is no other UI indicate the phone has locked the
GPS.
To make sure setting more friendly, my suggestion is

And I'd argue that the logic to check how indicators/notifications are
configured should probably be in the upper layer that shows the
notifications, not the push daemon itself. I think it should just push
its messages out via libnotify and leave policy to other pieces of the
system.
