[Bug 1476092] Re: Photo publication broken

Nope.

Using synaptic proposes ONLY unity-control-center-signon-autopilot
package, not unity-control-center-signon

[Bug 1524234] [NEW] QML function trigger() with no argument doesn't override ActionItem.trigger

2015-12-09 Thread Christian Dywan
Public bug reported:

In QML it's only natural to declare

function trigger() { }

on an ActionItem (derived item) and expect it to override the trigger
slot.

This doesn't work - sometimes it works if the function is declared with
an argument, other times not at all.

 Importance: Critical

[Bug 1500242] Re: Bluetooth devices (Jabra BT250, Audi A3 car kit) can not be connected with BQ Aquaris 4.5

2015-12-09 Thread Uranicus
Reporting on Bluetooth bug 1500242

I have send such a report on December, 6th 2015 where I have tested the
rc-proposed with my Jabra device. At that time the syslog-file was
missing which I have added later. I found out later, that syslog is a
rolling log, therefore maybe not all test logs are part of that syslog.

I have taken the time today to retest all that with the following
devices. I attach the log files:

Audi A3 car kit (2012 model)
Seat Alhambra car kit (2012 model)
Jabra BT250 head set
Logitech bluetooth mouse LogiLink ID0078 (Compatible to BT1.1/2.0/3.0+EDR)

Before testing I deleted all existing pairings with the devices and started
from scratch.

[Bug 1524227] [NEW] Failing to import bok files in 14.04 Thawab version

2015-12-09 Thread Karim Rekik
Public bug reported:

The Import bok files function no longer works under 14.04 (Thawab (3.0.13-2) ),
except for rare exceptions.
To reproduce the bug :
1 Click on import.bug files icon
2 Add a bok file
3 Click on "convert" icon : nothing happens even if I wait long time

I have compiled last version from source (3.2.0) and importing bok files
works fine with this version.

My OS is Xubuntu 14.04.3 LTS, 32 bits

[Bug 1524259] [NEW] igb: Detected Tx Unit Hang with stack trace

2015-12-09 Thread mrk
Public bug reported:

Hello.

For some time now we have a problem with one of our servers, that
happens sporadically (once in a day or two days) and causes are not
still known. We searched on lauchpad and tried many possible solutions,
but nothing helped. We had tried vanilla Ubuntu 14.04.3 kernel - 3.16.x,
and also 3.19.0-25-generic and linux-image-3.19.0-33-generic - the same
symptoms on all of these versions. We also tried to rollback to 3.13:
3.13.0-43-generic and 3.13.0-62-generic, but the problem still persists.

Our current configuration is: Ubuntu 14.04.3 with kernel 3.13.0-43.72
with Xen 4.4.2-0ubuntu0.14.04.3 (this host is used as xen hypervisor
with iSCSI initiator if it is important). And here is how it's going:

kernel: [135522.062941] igb :01:00.1: Detected Tx Unit Hang
kernel: [135522.062941] Tx Queue <5>

kernel: [135522.062941] desc.status <1c8200>
kernel: [135526.063054] desc.status <0>

Many of messages like this. Right after that we have reports like:

[Bug 1003842] Re: dnsmasq sometimes fails to resolve private names in networks with non-equivalent nameservers

2015-12-09 Thread Seva Gluschenko
Hope, my experience might help somebody affected with this issue. I've
just put the needed domain into the "Additional search domains" line of
the IPv4 settings of my VPN connection, and it did the trick.

[Bug 1523929] Re: "No such schema 'org.gtk.Settings.Debug'" error upon trying to activate GTKInspector shortcuts

2015-12-09 Thread Nikita Yerenkov-Scott
@Tim, well, when I remove (or even purge) that package the Debug section
still remains, though all of its information is gone and only one
setting remains... So I'm not sure if it is a fair test if some of it
stays... But upon reinstalling that package again the section does fully
come back.

[Bug 1524268] [NEW] keyboard not recognized

2015-12-09 Thread Marco Righi
Public bug reported:

The keyboard Perixx 1800 is not recognized by Ubuntu. There is a bug fix at the
address https://bitbucket.org/Swoogan/aziokbd that is not integrated in Ubuntu
and it is not internationalized.
Please 1) can you integrate the Perixx Keyboard support in Ubuntu 14 LTS? 2) it
is not implemented the Italian keyboard layout. Can you extend the support to
Italian keyboard Layout? Thanks Marco Righi

[Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space

2015-12-09 Thread David Jones
I think this is a pretty serious issue because if you select Full Disk
Encryption when install Ubuntu a very small (~250e6 byte) partition is
created. Each kernel update creates another (~30e6 byte) initrd.img file
and you quickly run out of space (only enough space for about 4 kernel
upgrades). Typically during the update-initramfs of a "apt-get upgrade".

It is not acceptable for ordinary users to have to manage their kernels
and their free space in the /boot partition.

to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security

[Bug 1524318] [NEW] KeePassX Launcher icon is broken

2015-12-09 Thread epii
Public bug reported:

After the recent security update of KeePassX in Willy, the desktop icon
is broken as is attached.

The icon file is installed in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/keepassx.png.
This file is generated from the SVG file located in debian/keepassx.svg using
imagemagic (see debian/rules):
  convert -density 192 -background none debian/keepassx.svg \
debian/keepassx/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/keepassx.png
It seems that imagemagick fails to parse the SVG file and producing bad images.

I don't know why imagemagick fails parsing, but the simplest solution is
to convert the SVG file using inkscape or something.

[Bug 1523555] Re: Error

2015-12-09 Thread Marc Deslauriers
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your
report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can
better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it.

Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For
help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally,
in the report please include:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System ->
About Ubuntu.
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
3) What happened and what you expected to happen.

The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide
variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures .
Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make
your bug report much more complete. Thanks!

[Bug 1301015] Re: Networking does not restart

2015-12-09 Thread Hayjumper
The command in comment #8 *should* do this in a single exec resource:

sudo ifdown --exclude=lo -a && sudo ifup --exclude=lo -a

However, I have found this does not actually work either for any
significant config change (e.g. IP address change, gateway change). In
fact, the command above frequently causes networking to stop working in
such cases.

The only way I've found that works is to reboot the server;
NetworkManager is not an option when doing text-based network config.
Other distros using upstart do not seem to have this problem. It's a
shame that Canonical hasn't seen fit to address this, and its cost them
my employer's (albeit meager) support budget.

[Bug 1524328] [NEW] libpng 1.6 support

2015-12-09 Thread Adrian Bridgett
Public bug reported:

Libpng 1.6 has been out for a little while, apparently it has some
important fixes for pngquant (which is also in Ubuntu). There are
comments here that maybe useful:

Presumably at some point libpng1.2 will be EOL so we'll need to upgrade
anyhow!
