The package hugepages have no own docs but instead symlinks to docs of
libhugetlbfs build from the same source package.
This is fine as libhugetlbfs is a dependency, but the links are broken.
Example file from hugetlbfs:
└──╼ ll /usr/share/doc/hugepages/HOWTO.gz
lrwxrwxrwx
Started right now, let's see :) Thanks!

Sorry Christopher, I'm not sure this should be closed. An Ubuntu
install with UEFI boot consistently shows the problem. An install with
old-style BIOS does not. So the problem is with Ubuntu's UEFI boot
loader, which I'm sure the team would want to fix, since it's meant to
be the preferred way
I've changed it to "efibootmgr", which seems to be as close as anything
might be?

Huh, I think this is actually my fault. When I designed the
authentication controls for the various wi-fi authentication types, I
included a "Remember password" checkbox for some of them (TTLS, FAST,
PEAP) but not others (WPA Personal, TLS, LEAP, WEP). I don't know why I
did that.
unmounting with udisks is also successful even with ciborium open.
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ mount | grep vfat

Thomas,
Don't worry anymore.
Somebody else could get my computer working again.
Mark this case as finnished.
Thanks for all your people's help.
I do appreciate it.
Regards,
Eddie
