I believe the cause of this was failure to update package list prior to
performing an upgrade.

I have a similar problem: When closing the laptop lid, it should lock
the screen. When opening the lid it shows the unlocked desktop for a
couple of seconds before showing the lockscreen. It is most likely
related to this bug.
Same versions for Ubuntu, lightdm, unity and gnome-screensaver. I do
I do have the same card installed. According to Acer datasheet the
integrated WiFi card uses Wireless LAN Standard IEEE 802.11ac, which is
pretty new. Could it be, that the driver is not ready yet?.

Looking at the postinst script, it calls update-initramfs -u and expects
it to do somethin, i.e. create the initramfs.

image, we expect to generate an
