this case, and a quilt patch as you suggest. I see no other
regressions, so I'll upload this fix to Debian and it should autosync to

Type in the terminal
sudo su
echo 'blacklist i2c_hid' >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
depmod -a
update-initramfs -u
and reboot

I agree that kded should not keep continuing to prompt to install flash
after it's been declined. Do note that you can work around this behavior

Damn, you're right. I knew that was needed in certain situations with
the new firmware (and have it being written in my MP for raspi3 support
in livecd-rootfs), but for some reason thought xenial u-boot + new
firmware + raspi2 didn't need it.
I'll write a configure hook for detecting the upgrade
