ZFS also came to my mind. Why should ZFS be allowed to be compiled INTO
the kernel on one hand, and cdrtools not being shipped as a optional
software on the other hand?
Also, Debian ships ZFS using DKMS. On that matter, Ubuntu could also
provide packages like those (and/or flashplugin-installer)

On Lenovo G50-30 kernel 3.19.0-61-generic the attached alsa-hda-
dkms_0.1_all.deb fails to install - there are compilation errors in the
log.
I tried running the 4.4.0-24 (xenial) kernel but there was no "Inverted
Internal Mic" in ALsamixer.
Im trying to file a report by running "ubuntu-bug
Uploaded to yakkety and queued in snap-confine. Syncing with mvo and
zyga on timing of those other changes to see if the ecryptfs issues
should be separate SRU.

It happened to me when updating 2 x Raspberry Pi 2B from 14.04 to 15.10.
The solution is to add:
Machine: Raspberry pi 2 Model B
Machine: BCM2709
Kernel-Flavors: rpi2
Boot-Kernel-Path: /boot/firmware/kernel7.img

Still freezes when using DisplayPort on kernel 4.4.0-24. Tested with

I am also looking for a solution or a workaround. Currently using
Ubuntu 16.04 and the inability to use this function is quite
unfortunate. I attempted in vain to write a quick workaround via Python
and pypdf. Thereafter I tried to compile Inkscape 0.48.5, but this was
also not a success.
