This bug happens because the "renaming bug" has not been entirely fixed.
The bug still happens, but now instead of causing a crash, Thunar simply
aborts the current operation, which happens to be updating
what you describe with audio seems like the bug that SRU is trying to resolve

Since it doesn't seem that the backports will be done any time soon,
here's how to compile it yourself.
1. Download and extract
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/o/oxygen-gtk3/oxygen-gtk3_1.4.1-2ubuntu1.debian.tar.xz.
Do not remove the tarball.
2. cd to oxygen-gtk3-1.4.1.

comes from deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ xenial-proposed main
and not from the release repository. Can someone please have a look
(before the package gets it into the stable branch), what is the problem
