[Bug 602809] Re: add Mouse Click Debounce Feature?

2016-07-03 Thread Eric Sandall
I'm still seeing this issue with a Logitech G700 with Linux Mint 17.3
(based on Ubuntu 14.04). I did not need Whitlock's patched evdev driver,
but adding Comment #4's xorg.conf work-around seems to have alleviated
this issue for me.

[Bug 1592749] Re: MySQL 5.7 slow with Bacula 7.4

2016-07-03 Thread Lars Tangvald
Ah, that's great!
Odd that I didn't see the issue. I've been using my system to test various
things like upgrading from earlier MySQL versions, so it's possible I hadn't
cleaned up earlier versions completely and the check still passed with 5.7
somehow.

Should make a note of this and get into the habit of scanning any packages with
"odd" problems for the old client_r library :)
Thanks for the help!

Interesting, I have Numix theme in Xubuntu 14.04 and it doesn't have
this problem... must be something in Numix version in 16.04. I suggest
filing a bug report about Numix then.

[Bug 1575412] Re: Graphical glitches when certain OpenGL games go fullscreen

2016-07-03 Thread Ty Young
1). I'm currently using an Nvidia driver from the Official Ubuntu Driver
PPA here: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

I have used driver versions that are just in the normal Ubuntu
repositories and they still have graphical glitches.

2). No, not that I'm aware of.

As said before, the graphical glitches in 16.04 isn't as bad or frequent
as in 15.10. However, the overview corruption, bootloader screen being
shown up until the login screen, and the bootloader cutout on each TTY
screen is the same.

[Bug 1542519] Re: Double menu bar

2016-07-03 Thread rtimai
This should be my FINAL comment on double menubars in VLC and SMPlayer
after switching back from fullscreen mode (hotkey F):

The following commands in Terminal or TTY appears to remove the
symptoms, ONLY for the duration of the login session. I don't know if
there is a significant difference between the two commands, but they
both appear to have the same result.

initctl restart unity-panel-service
or
restart unity-panel-service

This issue may be why Totem is the Ubuntu default player. :<

[Bug 1598667] Re: No snapd API for account registration / password reset

2016-07-03 Thread Robert Ancell
This API is required in GNOME Software since snapd might not be using
Ubuntu One on other systems. We currently have the Ubuntu One URLs hard-
coded.

A suitable API could be to use an HTTP 303 response, i.e.

POST /forgot-password HTTP/1.1
Host:

HTTP/1.1 303 See Other
Location: https://login.ubuntu.com/+forgot_password

[Bug 1598665] [NEW] Option "use this connection only for resources on its network" not respected

2016-07-03 Thread shankao
Public bug reported:

Lately, when I try to connect to a VPN, I get the default route changed
to what the VPN sends, even when I have the option "use this connection
only for resources on its network" active. This produces the side effect
of being able to connect to the VPN servers, but not being able to
access the rest of the Internet

It seems like a regression, as I have tried the same setup in an Ubuntu
Wily VM and seems to work correctly.

[Bug 1598662] [NEW] network manager recognises usb wifi connection as wired usb sometimes

2016-07-03 Thread sles
Public bug reported:

Hello!

I have usb wifi card on atheros chipset, namely ath9k.
Sometimes (not very often) network manager thinks it is not wifi, but wired
connection, and, definitely, does not connects.
Workaround are- remove and insert wifi card or
rmmod ath9k_htc
modprobe ath9k_htc

Not hard, but annoying...

Thank you!

[Bug 1579318] Re: 0e8d:763f Bluetooth adapter not recognized

2016-07-03 Thread Gab
This week-end i tried kernel 4.7-rc4 and still it couldn't recognize my
bluetooth adapter.

I can add some useful informations:
1) i got the bluetooth working using this project:
https://github.com/neurobin/MT7630E
2) the usb id changes depending how i boot the computer. If I boot windows
first (i have a dual boot), and i reboot as Linux without power off the usb id
is: 0e8d:763f, if I boot Linux fresh (after a power off) the usb id is
0489:e080. Also if i use the driver mentioned at point 1 the usb id is
0e8d:763f. I have the strong suspect the drivers load a firmware that changes
the usb id.

[Bug 1368647] Re: GPS and location detection not working on Nexus 4

2016-07-03 Thread slash
On a daily basis, i'm not able to use the GPS. In order to get nearby
information i'm relying on wifi(accurate)+3g(inaccurate), unfortunately
i cannot use Unav app for instance.

I tried on my balcony test-GPS with success (catching a position), I
decided to try by walking in my neighbourhood. I reboot the phone to use
a "fresh" setup, and after 30 min test-GPS didn't catch anything.

[Bug 1474875] Re: sbackup status notification not shown in cinnamon

2016-07-03 Thread Steven Rose
Just experienced this same behavior with sbackup 0.11.6-0ubuntu1 on a
fresh install of Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon (64-bit).

Not sure if it matters, but I was running the admin backup tool. Perhaps
it doesn't place the status monitor for a root process on the user
desktop?

[Bug 1572608] Re: Samba 2:4.3.8+dfsg-0ubuntu0.14.04.2 Reversion: CPU Soft Lock

2016-07-03 Thread Ed Huyer
I was finally able to try 4.3.9. It *seems* to have cleared up the
problem, but the system is lightly loaded right now. If the problem was
somehow load-related, only time will tell if it is really fixed. Still
no idea what actually caused it.

[Bug 1575412] Re: Graphical glitches when certain OpenGL games go fullscreen

2016-07-03 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Ty Young:
1) To clarify, did you install the nvidia drivers from upstream or the Ubuntu
repositories?
2) Is there an older version of the driver that doesn't demonstrate this
problem?

** Tags removed: bios-outdated-p03.a2l

** Description changed:

When launching certain OpenGL games, graphical glitches consisting of
current or recently closed applications can be seen at the very bottom
of the screen as the window goes fullscreen.

This mostly only happens on games that load a lot of data before
starting. Smaller games usually start with little or not graphical
  glitches.

While I am not 100% sure, this bug may also be causing a cut-out of the
bootloader on all TTY console screens, making them very hard to use as
well as the bootloader screen showing until the Gnome shell loads.
