Juju, when it prepares a new xenial testbed. The current xenial cloud
image does not have the latest snapd, so snapd gets dist-upgraded:

Early indications here are that updating the ALSA drivers fixes the
problem. I've usually noticed the problem when coming in to work and the
machine has been suspended, I did that whole thing now and reconnected
external display + headphones and I got proper sound. Seems promising.

It seems the window decorations are off by default, probably by design
to emulate a sticky note as close as possible. These can be enabled in

I found it, the reason this still failed is that the backing file had the new
option as well.
That was on a shared storage and synced on trusty before.
So "inside" an "only precise" scope -> no-bug.
Given the time precise will still be around and this only being an ppa I
think we can keep it as

Thanks for the information seeker5528. Unfortunately for me, I'm not
seeing similar results. My XFX 5570 only has DVI, HDMI and HDCP outputs.
I just tested both DVI and HDMI alone and still the same issue for each.
