[Bug 1626893] [NEW] Spell check does not change misspelled words

2016-09-23 Thread Andreas Noteng
Public bug reported:

Evolution correctly highlights misspelled words. When I see a misspelled
word I right click the word and choose the correct spelling from a list.
Since upgrading this does not change the spelling in the text, nothing
happens when I click the correct spelling from the list.

The stacktrace would seem to indicate that libssl indeed returned a null
string here, from i2s_ASN1_INTEGER(NULL, X509_get_serialNumber(cert))

[Bug 1625023] Re: switch to systemd on ubuntu phone xenial

2016-09-23 Thread Vicamo Yang

1625916, and https://code.launchpad.net/~vicamo/lxc-android-config
/disable-systemd-alsa-restore/+merge/306587 for bug 1626012.

** Description changed:

  Snappy heavily rely on systemd system session and xenial has systemd by
  default.

  [steps to construct systemd-based avila]

  1. flash images built from xenial branch [1]. This should gives a
  working xenial+upstart avila.

  2. Install systemd-sysv rather than upstart-sysv (Bug 1625023)
  2.1. rebuild latest ubuntu-touch package from source [2] with patch [3]
applied.
  2.2. download latest systemd-sysv package [4].
  2.3. dpkg -i ubuntu-touch_*.deb systemd-sysv_*.deb

  3. Install android-tools-adbd for systemd (Bug 1625023)
  3.1. download prebuilt package [5] or recompile it from source [6] with patch
[7] applied.
  3.2. Install the package from Terminal app because it will break adb
connection and interrupt the installation process leaving a very bad state of
the package.

  4. Install prebuilt lxc-android-config package [8] or just correct its
  systemd service file by hand as the merge proposal [9] does. (Bug
- 1625445 and bug 1625916).
+ 1625445, bug 1625916 and bug 1626012).

- 5. Rename alsactl somewhere (Bug 1626012).
- # sudo mount -o remount,rw /
- # sudo mv /usr/sbin/alsactl /usr/sbin/alsactl.orig
- # sudo ln -s /bin/true /usr/sbin/alsactl
-
- 6. Reboot.
+ 5. Reboot.

[Bug 1626886] [NEW] libssl 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.4 may cause Apache2 with libapache2-mod-php7.0 to crash

2016-09-23 Thread Olli Salli
Public bug reported:

I started getting apache2 crashes at the same time as I started getting
PHP 7.0 CLI crashes, after my openssl packages were updated to the
latest xenial-security version by unattended-upgrades.

I traced the PHP CLI crashes to server cert validation starting to crash
after updating to libssl1.0.0 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.4 here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1626883

Not sure if this crash is the exact same thing or something else, but
the web server starting to crash after an automatic security update is
very troublesome in any case...

[Bug 1626836] Re: lxd fails to start with error: failed group lookup: numerical result out of range

You gave me a hint and now its working. What I did was to move lxd group
to the top of the group file. It seems some groups in there caused some
parse problem. Thanks!

[Bug 1626883] Re: libssl 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.4 causes PHP7 SSL cert validation to segfault

2016-09-23 Thread Olli Salli
The primary issue is some patch in the latest openssl, which breaks
current php7.0. Not any change in the PHP package.

** Package changed: php7.0 (Ubuntu) => openssl (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1626883] [NEW] libssl 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.4 causes PHP7 SSL cert validation to segfault

2016-09-23 Thread Olli Salli
Public bug reported:

Last night unattended-upgrades upgraded the openssl packages
(libssl1.0.0, libssl-dev, openssl) from version 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.1 to
version 1.0.2g-1ubuntu4.4 on a CI build server. Then everything that
used PHP to connect to a HTTPS site started crashing when verifying the
server cert.

Like this:

```
[Bug 1626869] [NEW] Installer crashed when installing 16.04.1 with a USB stick.
2016-09-23 Thread Taihsiang Ho
Public bug reported:
[Steps to Reproduce]
1. Download 16.04.1 image. Use Ubuntu default "Startup Disk Creator" to create
a live USB.
2. Use this USB stick to boot into the live system. (UEFI secure boot mode is
on. Select "Try it without installation"[1])
3. Installing the system by all default values for language, time zone ...etc.
(partition management is "Erase the system and install 16.04.1")
4. Key in all entries required by Ubiquity prompt. Ubiquity began to install
the system.
[1] Select "Install Directly" could reproduce this issue as well.
[Expected Result]
The system was installed and prompted "The installation is completed" and
reboot request.
[Actual Result]
Ubiquity prompts "Installer crashed".
Then go to the live desktop. Issue the command "ubuntu-bug ubiquity" to
collect crashed report as the attachment 201508-19025.ubiquity.log.
[Bug 1626737] Re: [4.8.0-14/ppc64el regression] rmmod scsi_debug keeps causing kernel oops
2016-09-23 Thread Martin Pitt
I adjusted the test to avoid "rmmod scsi_debug":
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-
systemd/systemd.git/commit/?id=be77e470d8
So there's still a bug there, but it won't block testing any more at
least. And rmmod is always a bit brittle anyway, so let's avoid it.
[Bug 1626721] Re: OwnCloud account does not accept IP address.
2016-09-23 Thread Alberto Mardegan
Hi Robert! "Invalid host URL" is a generic message.
Please try connecting to the phone with the phablet-shell command and
run this:
   OAU_LOGGING_LEVEL=2 OAU_DAEMON_TIMEOUT= online-accounts-service
Then try creating the account again in your phone, and you should see
some output from the command above. If you could then attach that output
to this bug, that should show us what exactly is going wrong.
[Bug 1506166] Re: Bracketed paste should be per-terminal [PATCH]
2016-09-23 Thread Alexander Drozdov
Vte that uses for GTK+ 2.0 based terminals also affected. XFCE termianl,
Mate Terminal uses libvte9 and affected too. Both Trusty and Xenials
still ships vte 0.28.2.
Note, upstream bug report contains patch based on 0.28.2, so it can be
simple adopted for current package.
[Bug 1626454] Re: can't connect with owncloud calendars
2016-09-23 Thread Alberto Mardegan
Thanks @tuxboson! That information really helped! Indeed, the plugin is
not properly encoding username and password, so the "&" character was
passed to the server unquoted, causing it to be interpreted as the
beginning of another query item.
We'll fix this.
[Bug 1625940] Re: CIFS client: access problems after updating to kernel 4.4.0-38-generic
2016-09-23 Thread msaxl
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1626112 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1626112
the fix of bug #1626112 does not resolve this problem
automount gets the wrong UID, so it does not work
if I mount manually with the correct uid= parameter it works as expected (also
with the other kernels where bug 1626112 was present)
There is no DFS so i guess this bug has nothing to do with bug 1626112
[Bug 1282294] Re: "Cannot open pixbuf loader module file"
2016-09-23 Thread Marat Khalili
Happened to me during casual dist-upgrade on Ubuntu Gnome 14.04:
---
Processing triggers for gnome-icon-theme (3.10.0-0ubuntu2) ...
(gtk-update-icon-cache-3.0:9274): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open
pixbuf loader module file '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-
pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory
This likely means that your installation is broken.
Try running the command
  gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders >
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
to make things work again for the time being.
[Bug 1626848] [NEW] flash-kernel postrm.d script fails on kernel removal
2016-09-23 Thread Robert C Jennings
Public bug reported:
Context: livecd-rootfs build for ARM64 ubuntu images using the linux-
generic kernel
What changed: linux-image-generic-extra-* came into being and now linux-
image-generic-* depends on it.  When removed the zz-flash-kernel hook
for the kernel runs twice (postinst.d and postrm.d)
What happened:
 - Creating a container image (LXD, ...) livecd-rootfs starts with a server
image with a kernel and removes the kernel.
 - The kernel postinst.d hook for flash-kernel (zz-flash-kernel) runs twice now
(first for postinst and then for postrm).  On the second call there is no
kernel installed and flash-kernel does not handle being called with no kernel
present; the kernel removal operation fails at this point.
Looking for a solution where zz-flash-kernel/flash-kernel is tolerant of
this behavior such that kernel removal is possible.
