OK anytime my system tries to update it fails that's all that I got off of
the notice, also anytime I try to install a new package form apt-get it

Well, this package is in Yakkety and there are no issues preventing it
from showing up, so no asgen bug there.
The nautilus-dropbox package could only improve the situation a bit by
adding a proper metainfo file for a Nautilus addon:

When the nvidia card is disabled with bbswitch, running lspci causes an
immediate freeze. Of curse, if I'm not running lspci, the freeze will
occur sooner or later anyway.

The qemu fix is still necessary in order to resolve the issue.
While I do have access to the hardware, it is currently having issues
booting. Once we resolve the issue with IBM, I plan on testing out the
qemu fix from the PPA.
