I had this problem in zesty. tried to edit /etc/apt/sources.list with
gedit but it wouldn't let me write the result because the file was
marked read-only. So I did the following:

A PDF I got referenced the not embedded font TimesNewRomanPSMT. Document viewer
evince by fontconfig used DejaVu Sans to display it.
But „TimesNewRomanPSMT“ is the postscriptname of Times New Roman, so it looks
like fontconfig is not looking for the postscript names.

it took a good deal of effort to validate this, beyond what's in the
test case, because it turns out that there are no units in the default
desktop install at all that pull in network-online.target; so I had to
create /etc/rc.local and modify /lib/systemd/system/rc-
local.service.d/debian.conf to i
I think this is generally considered a feature and not a bug. You have
the full space to the edge of the screen to use in the application
instead.
If you wish to resize the window from that edge then just drag it away
from the edge of the window first.

I can't see a problem in the video but it is reviving memories I have of
older panel menu bugs (that are since fixed in later releases).

Confirmed. These have been bugging me for years. I used to think it was
a compositor bug and those windows were meant to have properly rounded
corners. But now I think it's just the toolkit/apps drawing them. Let's
assume the poorly chosen bitmap is part of ubuntu-themes... I'm not
sure.
