As of May 25, 2017 it appears the Ubuntu 17.10 server and desktop ISOs
have failed to start an install. Trying other options like 'rescue a
broken system' or 'Install MAAS [Region|Rack] Controller' have the same
issue.

monitor I have attached just flashes after the language screen.

I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible laptop with an Intel 5500U SoC. In
short, I am completely unable to boot kernel 4.12-rc3, even though I
could boot from 4.12-rc2 perfectly fine. The loading screen does not
appear at all, instead GRUB remains stuck on "Loading initial

4.12-rc3, it doesn't happen on 4.12-rc2.

Hi, thanks for the response.
I tried this as best as I could follow the instructions. I can't figure
out how to load into the Grub menu from Lubuntu, so can't test the new
kernel. I tried hitting "escape," "shift" and "space" during boot, but
no avail. I also tried editing the
