Doing a quick google, it seems third party binaries can get linked
against this shared library as well possibly. Ran apport-collect for
the extra logs; and both today's binutils and kernel upgrade haven't
fixed it.
Thinking we might need to propose for affecting binutils?

As I understand it, pulseaudio is in "main" and so is only allowed to depend on
other packages in "main". soxr on the other hand is in "universe", see:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libsoxr
So you may have to work through the process of getting libsoxr moved into main
before we can

I don't think this is an issue with the check-mk package. I had a look
and no where does it specify the socket to use, that's actually user
configured when enabling - you need to add 'broker_module' config like
the below to /etc/nagios3/nagios.cfg:
