I've created 4096 zfs clones using the same commands that lxd is using
and I have observed that the biggest pinch point is when fetching the
zfs clone stats as this has to lock using dsl_dataset_hold_obj, fetch
the data and then unlock with dsl_dataset_rele. Traversing hundreds of
clones is linear

I did, and came to the conclusion that fully replacing caribou with the
existing Onboard is close to impossible. That's mainly because applications
don't have access to the activities and authentication views
Ended up formatting the whole HDD and switched to MSDOS partition type
from GPT and the install succeeded. Bad solution though.

I beg your pardon - on this one in particular the commit was listed
(there were many P9 bugs I had to check, I missed that on just this one
the commit was known).
9cdf3a1c06189b8d0cab9f8f62b5b626cf8a150c is in there since 3.4 this bug
would be solved by having libvirt 3.5.
