The browser is an example demo from QtWebengine 5.9.1. I cross compile

have at least named access to servers outside of our internal network.

u-boot-linaro appears to be a fork of u-boot with some extra patches
which has not been updated for amolst 5 years now.
Even if there are outstanding features in u-boot-linaro that are not
present in u-boot package, these changes should be rebased and added to
the u-boot pack
Using the reproduction steps in the description, I re-confirmed that
with the current zesty version joining the domain fails because of that
missing directory. After installing freeipa-{client,common} from
-proposed, joining the domain now succeeds.

I have the HP Probook 4230s with this fingerprint sensor and am moving
away from Windows 10 to Ubuntu. I have the same issue. No drivers
available. I found 32-bit .rpm drivers from HP site. But it wont work on
Ubuntu 16.04 64bit even after converting it with alien.

The crash is in new code that was added to the Xenial SRU, not a
regression in existing code.
The stacktrace doesn't point to an obvious issue that is causing this.
It's possible that the hash table has been corrupted by other code gone
wrong. I don't think this is worth blocking the SRU on.
