For example we 'pin' firefox on to a specific version and if a
configuration file is placed after the service is started, the pinning
is ignored. In our

Unfortunately Bileto no more gives me cross arch LP tests so I have to hope
that my runs in containers were good enough (those worked).

It is good practice to remove unneeded packages/software from a machine. On
the shell, this can be achieved by using "apt autoremove". There is no way to
do it via landscape.
The lack of this option can lead to a full /boot partitions, for
example, by
