for stop (and thus for restart as well), and INT for reload and force-
reload. So yes, you were right, there was a way to kill it ungracefully.

Laptop is Thinkpad T450. On previous releases of Ubuntu I would close
the lid to suspend it. 17.10 doesn't suspend on lid close, which has
caused my laptop to overheat in my bag a couple of times.
I have installed tweak tool and made sure the power section toggle

the errors have been in the /var/log/syslog.
Actually there is more than one FILE statement in krb5.conf.
My (wrongly made) assumption was that these are default log paths,
whereas they came from another package (freeipa-server). So that means
actually it is not a bug of the krb5 package,
