After Wily landscape was taken out of the default installs for dragging
in too much of python2 dependencies.
But recently landscape is now on python3 and back then the plan was to
bring it back in when that happens.

I checked quickly and yeah it seems to be fix-only and thereby not violating
the Feature Freeze.
Bypass-lan was already added being default disabled in Debian - so that should
all be fine.

I have now done clean installs of 16.04, installed the virtualbox-guest

The logs really have no info about what happened on upgrade.
But if that is reproducible you should be able to run e.g.

I tried it for a bit with the old Artful kernel without issues. As soon
as I booted back into the Bionic 4.15 I was unable to connect to the VPN
again. It might be worth mentioning that the Cisco VPN tool also failed

Almost year old bug still there. This is core functionality of any OS
(secure VPNs, DNS) which just does not work on Ubuntu. I don't know how

Public bug reported:
On a default Bionic Desktop installation, gnome-software starts early and slows
down session startup. In the bootchart attached, it overlaps with gnome-shell
startup which is also resource intensive.
With gnome-software delayed gnome-shell starts 2 seconds faster.
