Generally the latest ZFS found in Debian is sync'd into Ubuntu on each
release, hence if ZFS 0.8 is available for 18.10 then it will land in

Installing on a Compaq CQ10-500 intel Atom N455, 2 gb ram.
Installation media DVD, wired internet connection.
I had selected Norwegian keyboard, install 3rd party apps, did not select
download updates during install

No, that was "dconf" (rename) and that never migrated to bionic due to
armhf autopkgtest issues, I deleted that version to land that fix, the
update can be uploaded again if someone figures out the test issues

The first step in trying the other kernel was to disable the nvidia
driver. I have switched it to nouveau and am letting it run for a

fyi almost all of the time after suspending it will wake up at some
point. but there is an small upside to that; closing/opening lid
"works". battery drain is definitely lower during suspend compared to
ec_no_wakeup=0
