install on /dev/sdb (and make it bootable), it asks "Can I install grub
on boot drive?" (or words to that effect) with no further details. If
you say "Yes", it installs onto /dev/sda. Not the drive you just

I recently upgraded a server from 16.04 to 18.04 and gpg has started
throwing out my secret keys. I even tried deleting the .gnupg directory
and re-importing or just copying the secring from another working
system, and it still throws out the secret keys.

Cannot boot properly with i2c-hid. Had to blacklist i2c-hid a while ago.
Un-blacklisting i2c-hid causes boot to fail with black-screen with ctrl+alt+f*
combos unresponsive.
I don't know how to debug i2c-hid since the black-screen stops me from

it is not safe if .gnupg; or the directory that contains it; are
group|other writable.
new gpg uses keybox, whilst old gpg uses pub/secring.gpg. whenever new
gpg was first executed against this .gnupg the old secring got auto

Ubuntu 18.04 hangs at "kvm: exiting hardware virtualization" on AMD
servers when under graceful reboot stress for 12hrs.
* This hand is observed only when Onboard SATA DVD Drive is connected.
* Not seen with Ubuntu 16.04.4 (HWE kernel v4.13)
* Seen with Ubuntu 18.04
Logs where the hang is not seen:
[ 75.448494] kvm: exiting hardware virtualization
[ 76.187482] reboot: Restarting system
[ 76.191663] reboot: machine restart
[ 76.197621] ACPI MEMORY or I/O RESET_REG.
The last 3 lines are not seen when the hang is observed.

Moving the bug-report back to Confirmed since these logs like "kvm exiting
hardware virt" and the logs post this are not stored on the physical disks
(reason - disks are already unmounted).
