nothing would suggest that from what I can see.. and the nvidia driver

In Kubuntu 18.04, nothing appends when clicking on an apturl link in
Firefox 60. Instead, it should have open the apturl window interface.
2018.06.29, no package apturl-kde available for Bionic (18.04).
One simple alternative, to install a package with an apt link
