Assuming the fix in comment #13 is OK, it should be available in the
Bionic general kernel (and its derivatives, include xenial-hwe) in the
March 4th SRU release.

I'm facing the same issue in KDE Neon, I ran the usual package updates
in Muon around 2 weeks back and now I see this error message every time
I update or install a new package.
