It's a shame, it sure seems like moving to the desktop-icons extension

I'm getting that same error, but without even having the copy & paste
aspect. I simply select "T" (text box) and click in the active region.
I'm on Xubuntu 19.04, running glabels 3.4.1. Not sure if I should attach
to this bug report or create a new one.

FWIW, https://blog.kafaiworks.com/posts/arch-linux-audio-setup-on-msi-
gp63/ fixed it for me. Might give the package maintainers a hint what's
wrong.
