I tested version 19.01.3-1~ubuntu19.04.1 (from -proposed) on a fully
updated 19.04, and can no longer reproduce this issue: The terminal
window opens - as expected - in directory ~/Desktop/aaa'bbb/. Injecting
commands as discussed in comment 2 appears to be no longer possible.

I'm using Disco as my daily driver and I still have this issue every
time I reboot. I also update nearly daily from the main repos, so any
fixes that may have rolled out, thus-far, aren't fixing it.

Hi Seth,
This occurred in v. 19. I then tried v.18 install and it did not happen.
Unfortunately, I can't replicate the bug as I overwrote all the 19 stuff
with the 18 install and have spent the afternoon setting it up. If I get
round to install 19 again, I'll let you know. Sorry for this and your
