This is still an issue on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS. I can reliably get it to happen.
Need to run killall to get it to stop trying with large transfers. The [x] to
stop file operations will not work all the time once it hangs.
The terminal and windows dualboot work fine for transferring the same
Subscribed field-medium as we're deploying a cloud with this.

Since upgrading to Ubuntu 19.04:
After logging in, Bluetooth is turned off and yet quick settings in
system tray still give me an option to turn it off (see the attached
screenshot).
After clicking "turn off" the option changes to "turn on", but clicking
on "turn on"
