As of now PCI core skips pci_prepare_to_sleep(), which put device to D3,
if pci_save_state() was called by the driver's suspend callback.
IMO there are two ways to handle this:
1) Don't call pci_save_state().
2) Manually put device to D3 after pci_save_state().
Let's try 1) first:

Public bug reported:
I found that "by accident" while verifying another fix for numad.
It seems (at least on a power 9 box) that if you have a huge kvm guest running
and restart numad that it crashes.
The crash seems related to some re-init of a static structure:
stack trace ---
#0 tcache_get
It seems that once this triggers the system is in an overall bad state.
I have seen
a) hang checks in dmesg
b) defunct processes even unrelated ones like
1 6 5529 4785 20 0 0 0 - Z+ pts/6 0:00
\_ [mandb]
1 6 5530 4785 20
It seems to be an alloc call with 16 bytes and this is clearly not OOM.
Needs to be analyzed deeper ...

I should have been more explicit. When I wrote comment #28, the tests
*had not finished running yet* so it was false at that point.
I don't know about this regression, let me retry it and if it happens
again, please investigate.
