commit that matches your report, we should try this one: 9adebac37e7d
("qede: Handle infinite driver spinning for Tx timestamp.") [0].
This is present in Eoan and Focal, but not in Bionic/Disco. After we
confirm this is the fix

Befor a while when I connect to smb server (nas) permanently appears
"Error while getting peer-to-peer dbus connection: Operation was
cancelled"

Well, last weekend any samba packages were updated, now the connection
fails.

When the computer goes to standby, the background image becomes
corrupted.
I am able to fix by "killall Xorg" , change the background image
(settings > background) and restart. Haven't tried
Tested 4.15 bionic with original use case. Memory leak is resolved.
