I'm experiencing the same problem with an adata SU800NS38. My SSD works
fine with the 4.17.0-041700-generic kernel version but unfortunately
this is the only kernel version it works perfectly. In addition to try
other kernel versions such as 4.x, I also tried 5.0 - 5.5. The disk

In a flavour the plymouth-theme-spinner package is not installed, AND
even if it was, initramfs does not know to include that dir as the bgrt
theme is not selected as the default.plymouth alternative. Obviously the
cp command is run unconditionally, hence the error in a flavour.

I did a CRC check on the oland_rlc.bin file in linux-firmware 1.186 and

yes by default it should be done automatically in the background & it
used to but not since the last month now.
for the manual update i do > sudo systemctl stop clamav-freshclam > sudo

i did this because clamtk reported signatures out of date & clamscan -V
did not give me
People made me notice that I stopped reading at the first section,
before the `apt-get -f install` bit…
That multiarch breakage is fixed in the version currently blocked in
propsed, starting with 2.9.10+dfsg-4

of /usr/share/plymouth/themes not existing.
